The Blue Mountains

There are Blue Mountains in New South Wales, Jamaica and the North–Western United States, among other places, but there are no Blue Mountains in the Appalachians.

There is however a part of the Appalachian range that's known as the Blue Ridge Mountains. Fans of Laurel and Hardy may believe them to be in Virgina, but they'd be only partly right. The Blue Ridge Mountains actually extend from southern Pennsylvania, through Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia.
